Tangible Patterns: Painting Color, Light & Texture

3 Day Workshop

Lisa Tennant is a painter working in a photorealistic style with themes of urban landscape, abandoned places, and botanicals among other things. Over the years her work has become more focused and detailed with close attention to the illusion of space, materials, and surface texture. Her favorite watercolor painters include Carolyn Brady, Maurice Prendergast, and John Marin.

She holds a BFA MA, and MFA from Eastern Michigan University. She has been a professional graphic designer and has taught art and design at the college level. She is currently a Michigan Water Color Society member and served in multiple positions on the board in the past, is currently a Texas Watercolor Society signature member serving on the board, and current member of the Watercolor Art Society – Houston. She has recently been published in the Artist’s Network as a Finalist AcrylicWorks 10: Best of Acrylics and selected as a Finalist in Splash 25: Best of Watercolor this year.

Workshop information will be e-mailed to all participants.

All participants are required to pay a minimum $100 deposit.

Complete payment is required to be paid in full by 2 weeks prior to event.

If you register for this workshop, and become unable to attend for any reason,

you may find another artist to fill your spot. 

SWA is not responsible for finding replacement artists.  SWA will not be refunding any fees.

Artists are responsible for working out payment arrangements if replacement is needed.
